Educational Yard Signs

Moths, butterflies, toads, salamander, fireflies, ladybugs and bumblebee queens overwinter in leaf litter. Native bees nest in hollow stems & bare soil.

Rake leaves onto flower beds or into a pile for critters to overwinter. Leave perennial stems standing until spring.

If you bag your leaves and stems, you bag your wildlife, too.

Spraying Makes Mosquitoes Worse

Spraying kills the animals that eat mosquitoes.
That’s why there are more mosquitoes every year.

Do this instead:
Invite Predators: Native Plants and ponds in your garden bring in dragonflies, birds, frogs and hummingbirds. They can eat hundreds of mosquitoes a day.
Trap & Treat: Add water and Mosquito Dunks (with Bti bacteria) into a bucket. It attracts mosquitoes and kills the larvae. No spraying needed.
